USA Division 16s: Setters Showing Control, Confidence, and Tempo

As play moved deeper into the tournament, more setters showed their value by keeping their teams organized through changing momentum and more demanding matchups. In the 16s USA division, strong setting shows up in composure, location, and the ability to make hitters feel comfortable in a variety of situations. The players in this group showed a steady command of their offenses and helped maintain rhythm even when rallies got chaotic. Their ability to lead the second contact stood out.    Piper does a good job staying poised and running the offense with consistency. She works well in transition and gives her hitters a steady ball that allows the offense to keep flowing. Her decision-making helps create balance and keeps the attack from becoming predictable. Piper contributes to strong overall rhythm. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Hailee shows strong effort and does a nice job managing the pace of the offense. She stays engaged through out-of-system situations and works to keep hitters involved rather than letting the offense stall. Her consistency with the second contact helps the team stay settled. Hailee brings stability to the floor. ~ Samantha Fitzgerald @BenchtoBeast_prepdigga     Kate runs the offense with confidence and does a good job delivering a consistent ball across zones. She positions well and works to maintain tempo without speeding her hitters up unnecessarily. Her composure helps her team stay organized even in tighter moments. She works to stay composed under pressure and does a good job giving her hitters chances to stay available. Her ability to keep structure in transition helps her team maintain flow. She works well through imperfect first contact and continues to give her hitters opportunities to produce. Her consistency and effort help stabilize the team's system.
