She is the top prospect in the class of 2028. Max Prep recently identified her as the top prospect in the state of Maryland. She has led Richard Montgomery to a Maryland state championship as a frosh. She also led Metro to a 2025 championship in the National Division at Junior Nationals, winning the MVP in the process.

Last year Richard Montgomer fell short of the state championship. Katherine hopes to return that championship to the Rockets. She led the team in kills the past season averaging 5.5 kills per set. A solid six rotation player.

You will not see her at Minnesota until the 2028 college season.

Interesting that three of the top 10 in our class of 2028 are liberos. The first two 2028 commitments were by two of those liberos Riley Ko Riley Ko 5'9" | DS/L Reservoir | 2028 State VA (North Carolina) and Diane Nzoupet Diane Nzoupet 5'3" | DS/L Westfield | 2028 State VA (Georgia). However, the biggest prize from this class is Katherine.

Last year she earned the MVP award for taking Metro to their gold medal finish in the USAV National Division. This year she has earned a spot on the 2026 JVA Class of 2028 All National Team, won the MVP award for DC Capitol Hill Classic, and received a national ranking of 81 by Prep Dig.

Definitely the player to watch in the junior nationals but by the time they get started she could already be committed. Time to make that second phone call.
