We’ve grown familiar with Baldwin’s game-changing physicality through her work at the net with South Central NE. The Sutton junior isn’t just a first-tempo hitter in front of the setter. Baldwin can also capitalize on slower paces that allow her sky-high reach to take command. The result is nearly three kills per set while also leading the Fillies in the blocking category. High-level club experience is paying off as Sutton remains a “feeder program” for South Central NE.

How about another stout middle blocker from Show Me’s 16 Liberty division? Baldwin joins a long list of South Central NE middle blockers who have turned into stars of the small-town scene. South Central NE 16 Black reached the final 16 Liberty bracket behind Baldwin’s hard-hitting style and extraordinary attacking range. She converted on most of her one-on-one swings and was part of 16 Black’s most memorable Show Me blocks. Sutton High School is eager to deploy this rising junior for another fall campaign.

There’s a lot to be excited about at Sutton High School. Baldwin adds to the ever-present Sutton-South Central pipeline and has a quick arm that can terminate from anywhere. We saw this during the club season as Baldwin exhibited her tremendous court vision and knack for scoring off hands. Sutton will have no shortage of athletes to deploy for this year’s varsity squad, but Baldwin looks like an athlete ready to make the jump.
