This isn’t the first mention of Capital City High School. Daehnick represented her school well and showed a ton of range at the setter spot. She’s physical enough to form a wall at the net, allowing her to run the show in two-hitter rotations. Daehnick’s blocking technique presented challenges for opposing left-side hitters in team drills, and that was just the beginning of this setter’s impact. Her smooth, accurate location let hitters find their rhythm at last weekend’s event. Expect more of the same this fall.
