Attack 16 Select has been an upstart squad this 2026 season where they will be heading to USAV Nationals in Indy with a Freedom division bid. Zumerchik has a violent arm swing where she is going to put a hurt on the ball. She’s not afraid to use the block either where she has been scoring points in bunches for her squad. This summer will be an exciting time for her to officially start her recruiting process where she could be a gamechanger at the next level.

has been a key piece to
Attack VBC
16 Select success in 2026. She is a threat to score anywhere on the court. The six rotation outside hitter brings an aggressive approach and a violent arm swing. She is able to create chaos on the other side of the net that even when they are prepared for her, it is tough to keep her swing in system. This past weekend at the Windy City Qualifier, Attack was able to advance to the 16 USA Gold bracket. Zumerchik might have came into the 2026 season a little under the radar, but she is definitely one to get to a college camp this summer where she could be a steal in the 2028 class.

I was able to see the
Attack VBC
16 Select team play at the Winter Classic in Milwaukee back in January. This is a high powered squad where they aren’t afraid to take big swings.

is an outside hitter to put on the radar for attack where she knows how to score points. She brings physicality to the net where shes going to create chaos on the other side. She swings big and can go hard cross, down the line, or high hands. I’m excited to see this team play again knowing the first impression they made on me back in January.

Zumerchik was so impressive for Attack VBC 16 Select. She stood out right away for her squad who ended up finishing second overall in 16 Open. Zumerchik has quite the armswing where she’s not afraid to let it rip from the outside. She has a lot of speed as well where she is quick to the ball and can go down the line or sharp cross. She effectively used the block to her advantage as well. Her play and energy was contagious for a squad who played with no fear.

I saw Katy do a little bit of everything at the Prep Dig Exposure Event. She has hops for days, a great vertical with a great swing from that OH position. She passes well too from that spot and explodes into her swings. She stuck out right away for me when I saw her in hitting lines. She continued delivering big swings in gameplay as well. She is an athlete for sure with a ton of skill. Class of 2028 player to watch.

2028 outside Zumerchik is hard to stop. Using a hefty toolbox full of shots, Zumerchik is lethal from the pin. She has a solid roll shot, will score points off of blockers hands, and can deliver lethal blows through the seam and also around and over the block. Averaging 2.7 kills/set, Zumerchik has tallied up 168 kills on the season so far. She also has a whopping 122 digs and handles a big chunk of the serve receive, averaging 4.8 receptions/set.

1st Team All-Tournament. Katy is absolutely lighting it up on the court. You can see her everywhere she’s got that defense on lock, whether putting up a wall on the front row or hustling the back line, and you can hear her making plays left and right. It’s like she just has this energy that pulls the whole team together. Her serve is getting better by the match and is becoming a real weapon. Watching her serve up aces was a thing of beauty, and honestly, it’s exciting to think about how this level of play is just the beginning for her. She’s definitely one to watch for the future
