Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
It’s the final ride for the Class of 2026, and Haase’s ascent has been one of our favorite storylines to follow from this group. The Exeter-Milligan/Friend outside hitter led her school to new heights during her prep career, culminating in an appearance in 2024’s Class D1 championship match. Haase finished with 1,500 career kills with the Bobcats, and her influence with VCNebraska has been just as immense. She has joined a new-look 18 Elite group this year and will not shy away from the big-time opportunity at Triple Crown. This Midland-bound athlete is at her best when pressure mounts.

No surprises here. Haase’s 13-kill, 15-dig outing lifted Exeter-Milligan/Friend to a dominant quarterfinal win over Ansley-Litchfield. The Bobcats were already primed for tournament success after last year’s runner-up effort, but Haase and her team have seemingly raised the standard further in 2025. We saw what Haase could do on big club stages with VCNebraska this spring, so she will not be daunted by another title hunt at PBA.

Here’s another athlete whose best prep moments have come on the biggest stages. Haase was the catalyst to Exeter-Milligan-Friend’s climb to the Class D1 championship match as the No. 5 seed. Not only did she pace the offense with five kills per set on a 0.329 clip, but Haase also delivered the six-rotation impact needed to keep the Bobcats in system. Will 2025 give us a repeat run?

Like Hengelfelt, Haase is a small-town high school star with state tournament experience. And, like Nebraska ONE 17 Black, VCNebraska 17 Black embraced the challenge of competing in Omaha’s 18 Open division. Haase has a rare combination of power and athleticism that helps her thrive on any stage. Her VCNebraska squad was a top performer at the early-season Northern Lights Qualifier, and that momentum has persisted in subsequent tournaments. This EMF standout is ready to reach higher.

This VCNebraska standout pushed Exeter-Milligan/Friend to new heights in Year 2 of the school’s new co-op. Haase used her tournament tenure to push past 400 kills this season, and her contributions reach far beyond a single offensive tally. The Bobcats also trusted Haase to pass a large segment of the court and lock down the middle-back area as a defender. Haase’s vast influence will extend into 2025.

Haase was not going to be denied. The junior outside hitter had led Exeter-Milligan/Friend all year with nearly 400 regular-season kills, but Friday’s performance against Bartley Southwest was on another level. Not only did Haase pace the Bobcat kill column, but her tough serving carried EMF to an insurmountable lead in the deciding fourth set. Haase’s efforts yield a D1 title appearance for a Bobcat program in its second season as a new co-op.

Haase gives VCNebraska 16 Elite all the frontcourt firepower you’d hope to see from a left-side hitter, but her impact goes far beyond her offense. 16 Elite received so many quality passes from Haase through the first two rounds in Vegas, helping keep the team’s high-powered offense flowing. This was especially evident on Day 1 as Haase anchored a six-rotation role en route to a pair of sweeps. Exeter-Milligan/Friend High School keeps rolling out hidden gems, and this one has unfinished business at GJNC.

Here’s one for the left sides. Haase posted big numbers for Exeter-Milligan/Friend during the 2023 high school season, so she was already poised for big gains in 2024. This outside hitter’s impact is not exclusive to her offensive output. Haase plays all the way around for VCN 16 Elite and will readily pass a large portion of the court in serve receive. These all-around skills are coveted at VCN, and the club has another pin hitter who can do it all.
