is the go-to attacker for RVC 16 Allen, playing all the way around and taking big rips from the pipe and both pins. In a match against Kokua 16, Gines worked the edges of the block and scored to the deep corner, all while getting on the floor defensively to dig out tips and chase down deflections. The Mary Walker star has excellent size and a lively arm; her defensive work continues to develop and improve as she faces challenging club competition.

Gines started her varsity career as an eighth grader, and in her third season at Mary Walker, she is a dominant force. The sophomore is hitting over .500 on the season as a six-rotation outside and is averaging over an ace per set. Gines has terrific urgency and speed in her transition and approach and looks to have worked hard on her feet and overall game coming into the fall.

Gines is an All-State performer for Mary Walker, and a legit six-rotation player with excellent height and movement on the pin. Her overall skill set is well developed for a 2027 prospect, she will take big swings from the back row and is a steady passer in serve receive. A coaches kid, Gines has an excellent feel for the game and makes the smart play when things are messy. Don’t underestimate this small school standout!

Gines is in her second year of varsity for Mary Walker located in Springdale. Now listed at 6 foot 2, the outside has terrific length and has an overall game that has been on display this season. She is racking up digs and keeping her team in matches with her passing and defense, not just her dominating play at the net. Mary Walker took a set of perennial power Oakesdale before losing in 4, boding well for the team’s success later in the season.
