The first time I scouted Berinobis in person happened late last month at the Iowa City High tournament. It was an eye-opening performance for a prospect that had been flying below our radar here at Prep Dig Iowa. Obviously, that will no longer be the case as we have her ranked in the Top 25 of the 2029 rankings. The sophomore is looks taller than her listed height of 5-11. Some of that could be her very long arms and big old vertical leap. Berinobis rises well above the net on the attack and comes down with a hammer swing. She does well in reading the block and working off of it. Her block is imposing with her quick leaping ability and keen timing. The Dike-New Hartford 10th-grader is one of her class’s highest-ceiling prospects.

Last but certainly not least, we have Keilana Berinobis Keilana Berinobis 5'11" | MB/OH Dike-New Hartford | 2029 State IA taking the 25th spot in the rankings. Berinobis has earned her spot on the rankings with her versatility and clean gameplay at the net. She doesn’t have to be the star; she just makes sure she contributes whenever she can. She manages to hold it down with her block, limiting her opponent’s options. And although she isn’t the top scorer, she manages to contribute by drawing in the blockers, leaving more options for her pins. I am excited to see Berinobis’ growth and contribution throughout her high school career.
