Kella debuted at 173 in our class of 2028 rankings. She played a year up for Charlottesville Area Volleyball Club ( CAVC ). CAVC won the Atlantic Coast Power League (ACPL) led by the left side hitting of Kella Lemcke Kella Lemcke 5'10" | OH The Covenant School | 2028 State VA . She also made a couple of key blocks in their journey to the championship.

Kella plays for The Covenant School where she led the team in kills. She shows good athleticism on the court, which is not a surprise since she also plays basketball for The Covenant School.

Last year The Covenant School lost in five in the semi-finals to Fredericksburg Christian in the VISAA Division II state playoffs. Kella made the second team all-state for VISAA. She contributed a team leading 19 kills in that semi-final match with 29 digs.

Kella played a year up on the CAVC 17 team that beat HOV 16 in the 17 U championship match. At 5’10” she has good height for the left side position, participating in a number of key blocks as well as key hits to lead CAVC to the championship. Her two combo blocks pushed CAVC to an early 7-2 lead, but more importantly her kill off a block gave CAVC a 14-13 lead in the third set they eventually won 15-13.

Kella plays for Covenant High where she led her team in kills and serve receptions. When the summer hits she also appears to play a little beach volleyball. Outside the volleyball season a little basketball fills her time. Definitely a player to watch.
