Anchoring the defense is one thing. But Blackford is doing something no current student has ever seen in their lifetimes—-earning a winning season. Kendyl is the libero for Blackford, and has both serve receive and floor defense on lock. Hundreds of digs, consistent serve receive and the ability to take the second ball and make it hittable are developed skills of hers that look natural. That profile pic is a perfect example; fiery, athletic and into every single point. And wearing the libero jersey as a freshman is no small feat; she’s doing all of this while having the Bruins in a place they’ve never been. Her success is their success, and she’ll be there for years to come.

New to me but certainly not to the game of volleyball, Kendyl is already wearing the libero jersey with pride at Blackford. A hidden gem of a defender, she’s already owning the special jersey by reading and reacting with the best of them as a left-back defender. She’s also adept at locating the second ball for her hitters that becomes quite hittable for them—-a trait that usually takes YEARS to perfect. Strong, consistent and energetic, we’re keeping our collective eyes on this young lady as our December showcase comes up.
