Another Mountain View middle, we have Kennedy making the rise from 81st all the way up to 57th this go around! Kennedy is a dynamic middle blocker who can do a lot with both her offensive and defensive game. One reason she made a jump this go around is the constant improvement in her offensive game throughout this season. She is a force at the net and rarely gets slowed down by a 1 person block. She is smart enough to hit her angles around a block and has a powerful arm swing to beat the libero/right back when the time calls for it. She can do it from all locations that a middle needs, and tends to score at a very high clip during game play.
Her defense is also vastly improving and that has to do with her footwork and speed getting better as she is getting more reps. Most importantly her ability to read hitters, stay balanced laterally, and press over the net consistently makes her a difficult matchup for opposing offenses. She covers ground well for a middle and shows the mobility needed to defend both pins without losing discipline in transition. Even against faster offenses, she stays composed and rarely looks overwhelmed by the pace of play.
Kennedy already possesses many of the foundational tools coaches look for in elite middle blockers, and the technical growth is continuing to trend upward. When you see the foundation and potential on top of what she can already do, it makes it an easy choice to move her up the rankings.

, a Class of 2029 middle blocker from Mountain View High School and Club One AZ, and currently ranked No. 84 in the Prep Dig Arizona State Rankings, made her presence known at the net. Standing at 6’1”, she brings the kind of size that immediately impacts opposing hitters, but it was her activity and intent that stood out. Kennedy showed a willingness to press over the net and challenge attackers, rather than simply reacting to the play. Offensively, she displayed flashes of being a consistent option in the middle, connecting on quick sets and finishing when given the opportunity. She moved well laterally and stayed engaged across multiple phases of the rally. There is still room for growth in her overall consistency, but the tools are clearly there as she shows flashes of brilliance. Kennedy is a player who has the potential to continue climbing as her game develops. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

Kennedy is new to our rankings by coming in at 84, but if you get a chance to play against club one 15 platinum you will see why. She is someone who is already tall at 6 feet (a true 6 footer) and is going to get stronger as she gets older.
She is a physical presence at the net and is able to get a ton of locks and block touches with her reach. She also has quick feet and is able to get to both pins with ease. Her offensive game is starting to develop to a high level and she is able to from all spots on the floor including behind the setter on a slide or a quick in front.
Overall, Kennedy offensively is reliable and she is displaying clean footwork, a fast arm, and the ability to score efficiently. More importantly she plays with high energy, communicates well, and demonstrates strong presence at the net with her blocking. Her physical tools, work ethic, and on-court awareness project her as a valuable middle for her club and school team in the coming years. We are excited to see her play during club!
