The 5’8″ setter and right side hitter from Lake Ridge earned an Avoli Award at the Dallas showcase on July 19th by doing what the award is designed to recognize: she competed with consistent effort, communicated throughout every segment of the event, and brought a leadership presence that raised the level of the players around her. As a setter she shows real court vision and the ability to distribute with intention rather than habit. She competes with tons of aggressiveness and athleticism that coaches will fall in love with. I absolutely loved how soft her hands were in delivering the ball to all locations with great pace in all tempos. With her senior year approaching, the Avoli Award is the kind of recognition that tells college staffs who have not yet evaluated her in person that the film is worth pulling up. She competes for Texas Advantage Volleyball Club and is entering her senior season at Lake Ridge in Mansfield, where she has developed within a 6A program that takes the position seriously. At 5’8″, the physical tools are there to contribute at the net as a setter-right side, and the evaluation question on July 19th is how well she executes both roles when the system around her is built from scratch. With her class year where it is, the Dallas Stock Up Showcase is one of her final high-profile opportunities to put her versatility in front of a broad audience of college staffs before her senior season begins.
