Kearns deserves a lot of credit for her experience running the offense. She reads the net well and tries to set balls away from double blocks. Kearns puts a lot of sets on target to hitters can take good swipes at them. Her touch has aiso improved from last season. Kearns can also take swings on the outside. She had some quality out of system swings. Kearns also dazzled some with her serves. She got the Colonels started off strong out of the gate in the final set with two hard aces. Kearns said the team works really well together.

Kearns (pictured) does an outstanding job stepping forward to make clean passes. Kearns makes nice adjustments on deflected balls. She puts nice topspin on her serves. Kearns continues to put good touches on her sets and has made better decisions throughout club season. Kearns gained some nice experience as an eighth grader on varsity that will come in handy this fall as head coach Lauren Eads returns to the sidelines after a season away.

Kearns has a bright future ahead of her. She did some setting so the main setter could take some swings. Kearns does a good job distributing the ball. Kearns steps toward balls then stops her feet to make good passes, even if she has to learn some. Kearns has great hands and Bourbon County head coach Cassidy Gilbert praised her game sense. Kearns had 120 kills and 83 digs in the fall for Bourbon County.
