is the kind of defender every team wants anchoring their backcourt. Committed to the University of St. Thomas, Kira showed out on Day 3 at USAV Nationals with outstanding court coverage and fearless pursuit of the ball. She reads hitters early, takes sharp angles, and consistently puts up quality first contact—keeping her team in system under pressure.
What stood out most was her cover game—Kira is always in the right position to keep attacks alive, whether it’s picking up deflections or diving for out-of-system saves. Her communication, discipline, and consistency make her a defensive anchor and a player that elevates the entire floor.

Brundage makes very smart moves on the court that keep her looking calm and controlled. I’m sure her brain is actually processing a whole lot of information at break neck speeds. Brundage gets her feet to every ball and she knows an offspeed ball is coming before the attacker even knows they are going to execute the shot. She plays with a really high level IQ and can play exceptional backrow no matter where she is.

Brundage has made a huge jump in the rankings is spring. She has proven that she can handle some big challenges and I love her movement on both serve receive and defense. Brundage is a scrappy player who carries herself with focus and confidence. She does a great job creating space between her body and her platform and I think her experience this year, competing at a high level will lead to great things this fall.

Brundage had some stellar defensive movement and touches during her matches at the X in November. I enjoyed watching her and her New Prague team in the Class AAAA tournament. Brundage did a great job of taking control of the attacks coming her way so her team could convert them into an attack of their own.
