and stayed in to attack on the right side. She oozes raw athleticism, which translates nicely to her role as both a setter and right-side attacker. Left-handed, the right side is a natural fit for her to swing from and allows her to be incredibly offensive when setting across the front row. Atonio displays strong hand strength to set the ball from great distances and set against the grain to keep opponents on their toes. She has a strong backset that she can locate well when running to the left. On the attack, she is explosive, with impressive leaping abilities.

Setting opposite Slaughter for Spiketown 16-1 is Atonio, and she will be a key player as the team plays in the 16 Freedom division at USAV Nationals. Atonio is a very dynamic player. When setting, Atonio utilizes quick, solid footwork to get to the ball and jump set effectively. A leftie, Atonio is also powerful from right front, using her hammer of an arm to put the ball away.

Atonio was an athlete who immediately caught my eye when watching game film from a Spiketown 16-1 match, given her physicality and athleticism on the court. She is an incredibly dynamic six-rotation setter/right-side hitter. Left-handed, when setting across the front row, she becomes incredibly offensive, taking a swing on the second contact. Or, if attacking, Atonio makes for a fantastic attack option with impressive leaping abilities and a fast arm swing. Playing for Spiketown 16-1 this club season, she is an athlete to watch as she continues to develop her setting capabilities.
