About Kynlee

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My biggest strength is I am a versatile player. I can contribute in both the front and back row, and willing to play wherever my team needs me. I’m competitive, I communicate well, and I try to maintain energy on the court especially when things are not moving in our favor.

What are you working to improve right now?

I am always striving to be a more complete player. Right now I’m working on becoming a stronger and more consistent hitter. Improving my serve receive, and getting quicker/more explosive. I also am working on improving my volleyball IQ and learning to read the court better.

What are you looking for in a college program?

I am looking for a program where I can be challenged, continue developing as a player, and be part of a competitive team. I want coaches who will push myself and teammates with passion and support. I also want a school that I can be successful academically and feel like I am part of a community.

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I’m hard working, competitive, and very family-oriented. I play multiple sports, and I enjoy being involved with my school and community. I take commitments seriously, and when I set a goal for myself I’m willing to put in the work to achieve it.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I want to study nursing in hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse. I have always loved being around kids and helping people.

Of course, we had to catch up with another summer showcase star. July’s Missouri/Kansas Stock Up Showcase was the perfect venue to display a wide range of skills, and David seized that opportunity while competing alongside older peers. The Central Burden freshman scored on either pin at that event and never hesitated to anchor space in the back row. David’s six-rotation prowess has made her an instant leader for the Raiders, quickly racking up a triple-digit kill total. We can’t wait to see how much further she can climb with Shockwave next spring.
