Hunt (*pictured) is the third talented volleyball daughter of NKYVC’s club director and, although it could be a tall task, she may be the best of the bunch when all is said and done. NKYVC 15-1 Tsunami is a team filled with top talent from the Cincy and northern Kentucky areas that earned an at-large bid to the 15 Open division. Hunt is a combo setter and hitter that can make good things happen through her hands and with her arm, along with playing efficient and aggressive ball with her defense and at the service line. She excels as a setter with deft touch and great court awareness to be able to adjust the force of her extension to locate well for her hitters from anywhere along the net. As an attacker, at 5’9, she isn’t the biggest threat physically but she can move the ball with great purpose and range as she sees the court well. She’s been playing at a high level for multiple years already, which is evident in her confidence and competitiveness. This NKYVC team has some great variables and if they are in sync they could make some waves at the GJNC. With Indy Cup and Summerfest ahead of them this month, you can catch them a couple more times before they head back to Indianapolis for the final event of their season.

Hunt is a young slinger with a bright future. The last in the Hunt family that includes two DI volleyball athletes ahead of her, she competes with skill, floor leadership, and high competitiveness that some may say is beyond her years as a 15U athlete. Playing for NKYVC’s top 15U team that features some of the best 2029 athletes in the greater Cincy and northern KY areas, she is a well-rounded young athlete with a very bright future. Hunt sets tempo in all directions and has good connection with her middles as she likes to push them with good risk, especially when she’s out of the pocket.

Hunt is trying to set her own mark with the Indians and got off to a good before hitting high school. Hunt split the season between setter and outside hitter, gaining valuable experience after seeing limited varsity action as a seventh grader. Hunt does a good job seeing the floor and has learned when to pound balls and when to take things off them to land in between hitters. Hunt also does a good job passing the ball and putting hitters in great position to put balls down in addition to turning into a valuable server. Hunt had 230 kills, 332 assists, 231 digs and 53 aces for the Indians this past fall.
