About Laila

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a defensive mindset and high energy, bringing constant effort and hustle. I communicate well at the net, close blocks quickly, and excel in fast-paced systems, transitioning quickly and staying ready for quick attacks.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Laila is a highly communicative athlete who brings constant effort, defense, hustle, and a strong athletic mindset, always supporting her team with positive sportsmanship and teamwork. Laila is coachable and open to growth, using feedback to improve her performance and contribute to the team’s success.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I stay involved in school activities while maintaining strong academics alongside my sport. I’ve earned recognition for my work ethic, responsibility, and ability to balance both athletics and academics.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills by communicating on the court and supporting my teammates, especially in high-tempo situations. I’m very coachable, adapt quickly to fast-paced play, and lead by example with my effort, discipline, and positive attitude.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One significant challenge I’ve faced is balancing academics with a demanding volleyball schedule, especially while playing multiple positions in a fast-paced system. Managing practices, games ,training ,and schoolwork has pushed me to improve my time management, stay disciplined, and remain focused under pressure. Through this, I’ve learned resilience and developed a great mindset.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college in states like California, Texas, Washington, Louisiana, Nebraska, Alabama, or Florida that offers strong programs in Pre-Med or Nursing. I want a competitive volleyball program that plays at a fast pace and will challenge me to grow as a right side and middle blocker, while also providing a supportive academic environment to help me succeed in my future career.
