Yates brought a lot of varsity experience into the season and has used it to turn into a reliable hitter for the Marshals. Yates steps forward with a strong attack approach, extension and finish to put balls down for big points for Marshall County. Yates made a number of sound passes. She is trying to expand her game to hitting from the back row. She did not connect on any pipe plays in the game, but she’ll take her game to a whole new level once she starts connecting on them consistently. Yates said everyone works well together, thus the Marshals are able to put pressure on defenses in different ways.

Yates continues to develop during club season staying consistently active in the front row. Yates takes timely swings to different parts of the court and can angle balls off blocks for big points. Yates executes solid role shots. Yates also records timely blocks and encourages her teammates after each point whether the team wins the point or not.

Yates (pictured) gives the 16 Navy team a solid option from the outside. Yates has a great approach and takes timely cuts to get on top of balls and send across hard crosses, even putting balls off blockers. Yates seems in sync with the team’s setter allowing her to place balls away from defenders.

Yates (pictured) stepped into a tough role for the Marshals this past fall and has grown during club season. Her experience will only help her these next three seasons. Yates is not afraid to take big swings when her teams need big points. Yates has also improved on her sound line drive serve.

Yates is showing a lot of potential in the club season. She earned valuable experience on the varsity squad for the Marshals in the fall. Yates has a solid line drive serve. Yates took some big swings last year and will only grow more her sophomore year.
