Lauren Rivers has been the unquestioned QB1 for Cardinal Newman this season, guiding the Cardinals to a state title while leading the team in assists, digs, and aces. The freshman setter has already established herself as one of the most complete young players in South Carolina, finishing just shy of 1,000 assists on the year.
Rivers plays with confidence and command. She’s competitive, vocal, and sets a tempo that elevates everyone around her. With her all-around skill set and leadership qualities, Rivers is certain to draw plenty of college attention as she officially begins her recruiting journey this summer.

Lauren is a young player with an abundance of talent and room to growth as a setter and in any other position on the court. She is a class 2028 from South Carolina, currently playing for the SC Midlands on the 16U division. As one of the youngest players during the first session of the showcase, Lauren showed her setting and offensive skills catching the attention of the coaches. Her technical skills were noticeable as she played along with some of the toughest players on the event. Lauren is already getting the experience of playing at a higher level, as she continues to develop her all-around skills she will find her way among the top players in her state.
