Chandler was used as a defensive specialist by Ridge Point and played the role to perfection, making a massive impact in the match from the backcourt. The sophomore was extremely reliable in serve-receive and split the court with Marquart, freeing up the hitters to focus on scoring points. Chandler also displayed great ability to play defense, standing out with her quickness and superior ball control. She served well during the entire match and was especially important from the service line near the end of set three, when she went on a long run with consecutive aces right after Cinco Ranch had scored some points in a row and set her team up to win in three.

Chandler will be with the Houston Skyline 15 Black team that’s entered in the 15 Open division. An extremely productive and consistent outside hitter, she should be one of the team’s main offensive options of the weekend, making the most of her ability to swing from the left, the right and the middle back positions. When she goes up to swing, Chandler fools opposing blockers with an apparent slow approach before she explodes for the ball to hit it. She’s also very good at making last-second adjustments with her final step, often opening up more court for her to swing. The pin hitter also does great work from the service line, consistently getting opponents out of system.
