About Leah
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay style is a very versatile player. A big communicator on the court and a big energy asset to the team. Also being a leader comes with being captain of your team which I have been before. and overall being there for your teammates when they’re in their heads and hyping them up! and truly, just being a good teammate for your team!
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My personality is a big energy person, very outgoing, and knowing how to play the game of volleyball and not get in your head and the mindset and resetting and doing better next ball. Also even if i’m frustrated with yourself tried not to show it a whole ton because that can lead to being your other teammates down. And the biggest thing is knowing how to handle your mentality in the game!
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
i’m not a part of a club yet I have been to many college camps I am class of 2029. I am still 13 years old, but I do train with a former college player that just graduated and I am planning on playing club this fall in 2025-2026!for kiva! I did to a mini club season for my high school coach! I did play high school volleyball when I was in seventh and eighth grade! i play JV and varsity this year!
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
the skills that I have and could bring to the team is, I’m a huge leader and I’m very big on celebrating when somebody gets a great play or even if they are struggling talking to them and maybe even saying hey you got it next ball just being encouraging and also not discriminating between teammates and really trying to connect with your teammates and your coach!
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
some challenges that have faced is maybe not getting along the best with teammates, but knowing that it doesn’t change the game of volleyball and knowing how to work around those things also getting in your head a lot and I’ve really overcome that and my mindset now is your mistake is in the past reset next ball!
What type of college are you looking for?
I’m looking for a collage that is best fit for me and not the “best” out there and being able to find a team that i connect well with the teammates and the coaches. Also even well with the school because being a student athlete comes with always putting school work before the game and being able to balance school and sports!
