Foster-Saye brings the kind of athleticism you can’t miss. Her big first impression came through positional drills, where Foster-Saye’s burst off the floor made an early statement. However, that terminal ability wasn’t the only positive aspect of her game. We also got a glimpse of Foster-Saye’s exceptional poise in the serve-receive pattern, especially while locking down the middle-back area. The Stanton sophomore is building off a stellar club tenure with SWI3D and will find her place on our Iowa 2029 watch list.

Foster-Saye can jump out of the gym. That’s what she put on display at the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. Her skills led to reps as a Stanton freshman last season, and what she flashed at this event makes her an excellent breakout candidate this fall. The Viqueens have a ball of energy that explodes off of the court, gets way up in the air and generates power when connecting with the ball. She sees the court well and places the attack in soft spots of the defense. Foster-Saye is quick with sharp reflexes, which should allow her to challenge for six rotations.

Leilanie Foster-Saye separated herself through controlled physicality on Day One. Her approach mechanics were efficient and repeatable — strong last-two steps, balanced takeoff, and consistent high contact above the block. She attacked deep cross and worked high hands effectively instead of forcing tight seam swings.

Her poise in pressure rotations stood out. Foster-Saye stayed aggressive without becoming erratic and communicated well in serve receive before transitioning quickly into offense. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
