New Discoveries from Iowa Stock Up Showcase

Student-athletes from the 2027-30 Classes competed in drills and scrimmages.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While many of the players in attendance were familiar names, others I was scouting in person for the first time. A tall, physical presence in the middle of the net for volleyball, the Independence junior proved to be an impactful two-way performer during the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. Post generated a good deal of power in her big righty swing, putting the ball down successfully to multiple zones. She moves well and is agile, which helps her get into position to throw up an effective block. She really exploded off of the court into an impressive vertical leap with hang time. The operation allowed her to maximize a big lefty swing that produced power. Eischeid had a clear idea where she wanted to put the ball down based on excellent reading of the defense. She also flashed a knack for putting up a productive block. It shouldn't have surprised anyone considering her being developed in two of the state's best programs, PowerPlex and Ankeny High. As we often see in those organizations, Byers is an athletic middle hitter with a lot of upside. She moves like an outside hitter but possesses the skills to dominate in the middle of the net. So, it was great getting an opportunity to watch Goodrich compete during July at the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase in Clive. The youngster was ready to put her best foot forward, and she did just that. Goodrich is an agile operator in the middle of the net with excellent size and long arms for her age. There's a keen feel for the flow of the play and a recognition on where to be. That's what she put on display at the Prep Dig Iowa Stock Up Showcase during July in Clive. Her skills led to reps as a Stanton freshman last season, and what she flashed at this event makes her an excellent breakout candidate this fall. The Viqueens have a ball of energy that explodes off of the court, gets way up in the air and generates power when connecting with the ball. She sees the court well and places the attack in soft spots of the defense. Foster-Saye is quick with sharp reflexes, which should allow her to challenge for six rotations.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
