About Liliana

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as high-energy, consistent, and team-first. I take pride in being a reliable passer and defender who helps control the pace of the court. I focus on reading hitters, communicating early and often so my teammates can trust me behind them. I’m quick, scrappy, and not afraid to go after any ball.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe my mentality as positive, coachable, and competitive. I try to bring energy, and clear communication to the court. I’m also hardworking, dependable and supportive to my teammates and motivated to do whatever helps the team succeed.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes. I’m actively involved in Student Council, Reading Buddies, and Link Crew. Through these groups I’ve been able to build leadership skills, mentor younger students, and stay involved in my school community outside of athletics. I’ve also received multiple academic achievement awards.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through volleyball and my school activities, I’ve developed strong teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. As a libero, I focus on being reliable, positive, and supportive under pressure. My involvement in Student Council, Reading Buddies, and Link Crew has helped me grow as a leader and role model while also building time management and a strong sense of community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes. Last season I suffered a serious concussion that kept me off the court for a bit. I am also currently recovering from a hamstring injury. It has definitely been challenging physically and mentally, but it's teaching me patience, discipline, and the importance of taking care of my health. I am staying involved with my team while recovering and focused on coming back stronger.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with a good balance of academics, a competitive program, and a supportive team environment. I want a place where I can keep improving as a player, contribute to the team, and grow both on and off the court.
