Expert Analysis
Theresa Hickman | Prep Dig Scout
Why do you want to play college volleyball?
I want to play volleyball in college because I have a passion for the sport, and hope to play it as long as I can while meeting new people.
What does your training schedule look like in-season and off-season?
I do strength and conditioning training 2-3 times a week year round. I also play basketball and track so I do as much as I can with club volleyball during those seasons.
What are your academic interests or intended major?
I am interested in pursuing a nursing degree to later become a nurse practitioner.
How do you balance school, sports, and your personal life?
It gets super difficult being a three sport athlete, however I take pride in my time management so that helps a lot. Using time wisely and making sure to get good sleep every night keeps me energized and able to stay on schedule with everything going on.

is a player that continues to stand out because of how active she is at the net. She works hard to stay connected offensively, gives her setter a dependable option through the middle, and competes for every point. Whether she’s establishing the block or staying available in transition, she’s consistently involved in what her team is trying to accomplish.
What I’ve noticed watching Jersey is that she doesn’t wait for plays to come to her. She’s constantly working to create opportunities and stays engaged even when rallies extend. Defensively, she continues to improve her ability to take away space at the net, while offensively she keeps pressure on opponents by staying available and forcing defenses to account for her.
The more I watch Jersey, the more I appreciate how much value she brings to a lineup. She embraces the responsibilities that come with playing in the middle and understands how to impact matches in ways that don’t always show up in the stat sheet. As her game continues to develop, she’s the type of player that coaches are going to be glad they identified early in the recruiting process.~Theresa@prepdigdakotas

plays the position with physical authority. She closes with aggression, challenges hitters at the peak, and makes attackers rethink their angles. Her block isn’t passive—it’s disruptive. Offensively, Jersey attacks with intent, staying explosive on quick routes and finishing through contact. She plays with edge, and that competitive fire shows in every rally. Jersey doesn’t blend into the front row—she commands it. This is the type of middle who changes the emotional tone of a match. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

#12 Overall | #1 Middle Blocker
Jersey is the top middle blocker pick for the freshman class, and for good reason. Since the start of club season, she has continued to develop her skills, becoming even stronger and more dominant at the net. Standing at 6’0”, she knows how to use her height to her advantage, making her a formidable presence both offensively and defensively. Jersey’s versatility sets her apart—she is actively refining multiple routes and approaches, making her an unpredictable and effective attacker. With her continued growth and work ethic, she is on track to be a standout middle hitter for years to come.~Theresa @prepdigdakotas
