About Lilly

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

That’s a good question. I would describe my game play as being a team leader and communicating with everyone. I go as hard as I can and never give up on the ball. I try and get advice every chance I can from my coach so I can work on the things I’m not so good at.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m a fun, funny, smiley person outside of volleyball but when I get to the courts I get locked into my serious wanna win mode. When I feel like I’m starting to get into my head I just breathe, shake the nerves off and say my key phrase, next play.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m involved in gifted and talented for art. I’ve went to a competition for it and got first place for it. I’ve been in choir too in middle school but that’s pretty much it.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Some skills I have developed are leadership, working better with a team, being more confident in my play, and always trying to hype up my team when we are down.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes I have faced many challenges. I went from my school ball coach not thinking that I was good enough to my travel coach playing me all the time (all the way around the court). I’ve gone from not believing in my self because of my previous coaches to now working harder than ever.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for good environment college with people who are nice and wanna talk but at the same time I’m looking for a competitive school that wants to win everything.
