Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Volleyball is a team sport. Whether I am supporting player or attacking I know that my efforts count for the total success of the team. From the court or sideline I try to stay engaged with a positive attitude and encourage all my teammates to do the same. There is no better feeling than playing and winning together.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Volleyball is fun, staying in the mindset during competitive play only makes you more competitive. It helps you stay in the game and stay positive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I am involved in the stem club and medical club at my high school. I received a partial scholarship my freshman year in which we had to submit an essay.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Fenwick is based on giving back the community. Every year there is a service project for each class which incorporates time and teamwork. This year as Juniors we have an additional 30 hours to complete in community service - I am choosing to do mine in the field I am interested in to give back to families that are struggling with ill or critically hurt children.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There have been both personal and academic challenges that I have faced. My freshman year I struggled academically but stayed with it and have since continued to focus and improve every semester. This year I will finish strong and am looking forward to posting my grades and ACT scores. My personal challenge has been helping a close family member through their battle with cancer.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a good nursing program and a great student and college vibe. It is important to me that I like the campus, the team, the coach and feel that I will be supported as an athlete. The right fit is very important to me and I will know it when I feel it. Right now I am enjoying the college recruitment process and discovering the different college choices.
