Miss Gray made the trip to Spring from Louisiana and reminded everyone in the building why she has already been turning heads outside of her home state. Her WD Nation 15 Blue roster won the AAU 15U Aspire National Championship this past season and she was named to the All-Tournament team, so the competitive experience is real. At 5’11” she sets from a release point that creates genuine problems for blockers trying to read her hand, and the variety she showed in her tempo calls throughout the Houston Showcase kept her hitters in rhythm and the opposing block guessing. Court coaches enjoyed watching her run the offense with players she was meeting for the first time. She adapted quickly and kept her composure when passes were not where she wanted them. There is a lot of game ahead of her in the 2030 class and the foundation is already impressive. Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award for this showcase.

Gray (pictured) made about a four to five-hour trip from the Baton Rouge area and made a great impression. She is turning into a sound, all-around player entering high school. Gray makes dynamic sets on one play then pounds balls on the next. Her ball control is solid. She puts amazing touches on her sets and can smoke back sets with a nice downward trajectory. Her defense really stood out. She reads balls well and uses a great platform to make good first touches. She uses nice reflexes to keep balls alive and is a solid communicator on the court.
