About Luz

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe it as dynamic, explosive, and risky, but also a good balance of calm.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I don’t get down on myself often, I really like the next ball mentality. Additionally, I love grinding and every day I spend hours in the gym perfecting a skills. I am not really loud right off the bat to strangers but after knowing people for some time, I am very loud and love to crack jokes.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I was a part of a few fine arts like choir and theatre, but sports have been my primary focus.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

During my club season, I have had to step into a leader role, I also learned that when you’re in that position, at least one person is going to have eyes on you so you have to always do the right things and lead by example.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have not really faced a really significant challenge that I can remember, but I do sometimes tend to be really quiet around people that I don’t know yet because I care too much about what other people think of me, so that is probably my biggest challenge, being quiet and shy at times.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a highly competitive volleyball college with a nice campus, good culture and atmosphere where it would take little for me to fit in. I also don’t want it to be in the middle of nowhere, so I would like it to be near a big city. I definitely want the academic aspect of it to also be good and have what I intend to study.
