Madalyn Kabat is a new(ish) name in the Prep Dig tournament world where she is an electric point scorer from the outside.  She played for Fusion 18 National out of Platteville where they finished in the final four of 17/18 Open.  I knew I had seen Kabat play before, but couldn’t recall where and then I realized she was a key player for Mineral Point.  Mineral Point was in the D4 state semifinals where Kabat was a 1st Team All State player.  She has a violent arm swing and packs a punch, making it tough for the other side to stay in system.  She is a hidden gem that college coaches need to keep an eye on. 

Madalyn made some huge plays for her team this weekend. Kabat plays with great intelligence, using the block to her advantage and finding the open court. You can tell she’s a trusted teammate, always playing a key role in her team’s success. Excited to see her compete the rest of this club season!

Maddy is a fun pin to watch because she is the type of player who is not afraid to take risks. More often than not, she reaps the reward of taking the high-risk swing. She played all 6 rotations and was incredibly scrappy throughout their state match. Her court awareness was very impressive and she was a go-to player for Mineral Point.
