Following the graduation one of the ECC’s best pin hitters after last season, Steele has filled in nicely as the primary attacking threat after a long spell primarily as a middle hitter. Turpin lost a tough five-set conference battle earlier this week to Lebanon but Steele was the top offensive performer in that contest at 24 total kills on a respectable .340 efficiency, outperforming the league’s offensive leader on the other side of the net. She is currently among the top four offensively in the ECC as Turpin gets set to next take on the defending state champs in Kings. Steele can bring some big power and movement, which will be fun to see how she performs against a good Kings’ defense.
