How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as reactive and defensive-minded. I have to be able to read hitters and make quick adjustments to keep plays alive. I focus on consistent passing, good court coverage, and leading the defense in communication and energy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I hold myself to very high standards, always striving to do my best in everything that I do. I’m always looking for ways to improve or do better. I always try to encourage the people around me and help them when they need it.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a part of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) at my high school. We meet once a month and help out at events in the community such as trunk-or-treats, fall festivals, and school dances.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

One of the main skills I have gained from playing volleyball is a strong work ethic. Volleyball requires a lot of discipline and consistency; diving after every ball and keeping energy throughout the game. Throughout playing volleyball I have built more confidence on and off the court. Trusting my skills on the court has strengthened my ability to believe in myself and preform under pressure.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In December 2021 an EF4 tornado went through 4 states, destroying my home. After the tornado we were left without a house and without any belongings.This time of my life was very difficult and I didn’t understand why this happened to us. Looking back, this event has taught me the importance of a strong community and the necessity of resilience.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a good medical or science program. I’m not sure exactly what I want to major in at the moment. I’m not picky about where I want to go and all of my options are open.
