I had the chance to get an up close look at Grande last season when my team faced her at the AA Showcase in Burnsville and she immediately stood out. She is long, lean, versatile, and has the ability to attack from either pin. As a freshman, she recorded 105 kills, 56 blocks, and 51 digs. With the graduation of key players, we expect Grande to take on an even bigger role this fall with Providence Academy and continue to make a big impact.

Mallory can be utilized as a six-rotation outside with advanced ball control and a low-error attacking profile. Her platform work is among the cleanest in the group—quiet hands, strong angles, and the ability to absorb pace in serve receive. Offensively, she uses her vision exceptionally well, attacking half-seams and finding corners with a disciplined swing path. Mallory doesn’t just keep rallies alive; she creates high-quality swings for her team. Grande is an freshman outside that I had the privilege of watching playing at the 2AA Midwest Showcase. While Grande will take impressive swings and generate kills from the pins, what most caught my eye was her blocking. She has a good read on the ball and makes quick efficient movements to stop attackers in their tracks. Grande currently has 39 blocks on the season. She also has 65 kills, averaging 1.3 kills/set.
