About Marley
Expert Analysis
Jesse Etter | Prep Dig Scout
Alefaio may have had the best season of anyone in Washington High School volleyball this season. The senior is operating at a high level in all aspects on the court, and she helped Lakes to a 16-3 record and a number three seed in the tournament. Playing six rotations, Alefaio anchors the middle at the net for Lakes, then is available from the pipe and handles the middle back defensively and in serve receive. The Lancers are a unique challenge for teams, and Alefaio gives them a chance in every match.

Marley is the leader and team captain for a Lakes team that is pushing for a top-three finish in a very talented league.
Alefaio is the rare six-rotation middle. She has the talent and touch to pass in serve, receive, and dig hard swings.
Marley is a force at the net, attacking at a .555 clip and punishing opposing attackers with her blocking prowess.
Lakes is not a traditional power in the league, and they made it to the state play in game last season before losing the match. Alefaio has them poised to challenge for a trophy at the state tournament in November.

The Puyallup Junior middle puts up a strong block, and when she gets her hands on a swing she can put down a block with force. As powerful a blocker as she is, her movements on the court are measured and smooth, and she slides her hands over over the net keeping them pressed as long as possible before sliding them back. Alefaio was a problem as a blocker for anyone PJVBC played, she will rack up blocks during the school season.
