Sherman enjoyed a productive season on the club circuit and has carried it over into the school-ball campaign. In watching her compete at Iowa City West’s Live Line Line Tournament in early September of 2025, her improvements from club were obvious. Sherman maximizes here skills by being technically sound. She repeats her operation on the attack, helping lead to consistency. Her 104 kills through 17 matches ranked second among Tigers. Sherman also was fourth in digs with 43, illustrating her development as an overall volleyball player.

Maryn Sherman Maryn Sherman 5'10" | OH/DS/L Grinnell | 2028 State IA stepped up in a big way today. As an outside hitter, she brought a mix of power and control that kept defenders on their heels. Her approach is fluid, and she goes up with confidence—swinging high, smart, and with purpose.

Maryn thrives in high-tempo situations, adjusts well to out-of-system balls, and knows how to find the open court or tool the block when it’s tight. She brings great energy to the floor and shows leadership through her consistent play and communication.

She made her mark on Day One—and there’s no question she’s one to keep an eye on moving forward.

Sherman is a rising 6 rotation outside with a ton of potential. She plays with tremendous determination and grit. Aggressive in everything that she does, Sherman was solid in not only attacking but serve receive and passing. She proved to be a go-to player on the court that her team relied on to deliver as they fought their way through both pool play and bracket competition.
