Megan was especially fun to watch working out of the right side, where she plays with an aggressive mindset and a clear desire to impact every rally. She brings consistent effort on each possession and isn’t afraid to take responsibility in big moments. At the net, she puts up a solid block and does a great job splitting the block to score efficiently.

Komarek is a right side pin that possesses a fast, heavy arm that routinely frustrates opposing defenses. This high school season was no exception as electric sophomore delivered one outstanding performance after another leading her team with 328 kills on the season and to their first-ever WIAA state championship. She has demonstrated her ability to perform in high level competition and in tense situations. As she starts her season with Wisconsin Ice this winter, she is guaranteed to make a tremendous impact, bringing both her competitive spirit and tremendous attacking abilities to every game.

Komarek has really grown into a thriving right side this season. She has been making the opposing team second-guess all their attack choices. Komarek will also take just enough off her swing to dribble off the block and make it really hard to defend.

Komarek recently made a move to the right pin, and I’m honestly loving what she brings to that position. She puts up a big block in front of opposing outsides as well as a fun slide approach to keep teams guessing. Komarek moves quickly along the net and defends it like a natural middle blocker.
