We’re heading way out west for this one. WyoBraska Sky’s top 16s squad has quietly been tearing it up on the western Nebraska scene, and Sherbeyn sets the tone as a leading terminator. It was impossible to ignore Sherbeyn’s freshman numbers with Valentine, where she tallied a whopping 412 kills to pace the Badgers. That has translated to instant success at WyoBraska while crossing into the Rocky Mountain Region for club competition. Sherbeyn’s ceiling elevates with every rep.

Meet Nebraska’s freshman “kill champion” from the 2025 season. Sherbeyn led all 2029s in total kills and kills per set, finishing last year’s campaign with over 400 terminations for Valentine. However, the prep scene wasn’t the final venue where Sherbeyn made herself known. She also participated in December’s Nebraska Exposure Tour, making the long trek from northern Nebraska to the Nebraska Elite gym. Sherbeyn’s effortless athleticism translated well against big-city stars, further boosting her stock among Nebraska’s 2029s.

Not many Nebraska 2029s posted numbers like Sherbeyn this fall. The freshman pin hitter averaged an eye-popping 4.6 kills per set in her Valentine debut, amounting to over 400 total terminations in the regular season. This resulted in one of the most dramatic upticks in the win column on Nebraska’s prep stage. Valentine vaulted from six wins to 23, putting the Badgers on a dramatic upward trajectory in the northern reaches of the Cornhusker State. Sherbeyn’s heavy-handed dominance continued at our showcase and will not wane in 2026.
