About Miah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of intensity, I like the game to move fast but in control. Running quick plays and tricking the opposing defense is one of the best feelings.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very bubbly and energetic person, I laugh at almost everything and can make friends with everybody. Although I have adopted a very competitive side to me, I don't really show it physically but my wheels are always turning on how to out smart the other team. Over the years I have developed a very strong mindset, to the point where there isn't a lot if anything that can get me down.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a great sense of leadership over the last 6 years I have played volleyball. Being able to step onto the court and be a steady, consistent, and reliable person to lean on on and off the court has always been something I value greatly.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Throughout my career I have spent a lot of time being doubted by coaches who couldn't see my value. And as most players have experienced, it can seriously change you as a player. For me It changed me for the better, I was able to get back up over and over and prove myself. A quote that has always stuck with me is "How are you gonna act after you get punched in the face?".

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that provides a strong volleyball program, something with a quality nursing program as that is what I'm interested in doing currently, and somewhere that has a very friendly, inspiring , and competitive community.

Not too many lefty setters were in the gym as Congdon has a good all-around skill set. What was noticeable in her effort is that she is simple in how she plays the setting role starting with her preparation that leads to good footwork to pursue the ball efficiently. She works well to get on balance with her hands up early to be able to set all locations with good composure and accuracy. You can see her with SIVBC this club season.

Congdon was excellent running the offense for SIVBC during the club season and is part of the high-powered Lake Stevens program during school ball. She will continue to improve with solid training and competition in both gyms. Congdon is left-handed, has a tough serve, and is accurate to both pins. She is currently the 5th-ranked setter in the initial 2028 rankings.

Congdon played strong out of a 6-2 set for Sudden Impact over the weekend. The Lake Stevens lefty has a blistering serve that she can also drop short, and she does an excellent job of being in the correct position defensively. Congdon mixed up her sets in a sequence against RVC 15, setting the middle and right sides before finding the outside attacker on an accurate fast-tempo set for the kill that ended the rally.

Congdon has solid location and the strength to move the ball around to her attackers for a good match-up.
