We have a good one staying in state at the next level. Gillespie is a Pittsburg State commit whose range and flexibility have made her a focal point of Goddard High School’s success. But, similar to our discussion in the intro, Gillespie’s influence is not limited to her ability to dish the ball. She was also Goddard’s leading scorer last fall with 2.8 kills per set on a team-high hitting percentage. College recruiters love to see a setter who can square up at the net and be a takeover terminator when needed. Pittsburg State now knows that Gillespie can run the show around the dial and bring some of her own attacking prowess to the net.
