Michelle is the key to making this offense roll. She leads the team in kills with a hitting percentage at .404 while also topping the team in aces. She plays six rotations leading the team in digs while also being part of the serve receive rotation.

At 5’9″ she is a bit undersized for an outside hitter but she puts the ball to the floor with velocity and bounce. She brings a fast arm swing to her kills as well as good height to her jump to make up for her smaller stature. She also has a lot of bounce to her finish after the ball hits the floor. When blocking she gets her hands over the net, but her blocking is at the middle while her hitting is done from the left side. Her platform for passing is quiet with little movement. Her positions are listed as outside and middle, so it appears she plays a little of both depending on need.

In our most recent ranking she made her debut at number 75, the highest debut for that ranking period. This year as a junior she is ready to make her impact.

While I have not seen her play yet in person, her video from her profile includes some pretty impressive offensive production from the left side. In the last rankings she made the highest debut at #75. She brings a fast arm swing and good jump to make up for her 5’9″ frame. Last year she hit at a .342 clip while she led the team in kills. This year she has upped that to .404 as she continues to lead the team in kills.

Michelle also digs balls well when playing defense as well as stays involved in serve receive, which indicates a six rotation player. This year she appears to have help on the roster from frosh middle Paris Hampton. Paris leads the team in blocks and is second in hitting percentage at .361.

I have not actually seen Michelle play but she included a couple videos in her profile that shows an impressive game. She makes the highest debut for the class of 2028 to 75. Her video shows an extremely fast arm swing and good hops to make up for her undersized 5’9″ frame.

Definitely a player to watch. Phoebus finished third in the Peninsula District. Michelle led the team in kills with a .342 hitting percentage. Phoebus made it to the Virgina Class 4 Regional semi-finals but then got swept by Jamestown.
