About Mya
Expert Analysis
Kyp Harasymowycz | Prep Dig Scout
A solid, all-around setter from Greensburg, Mya runs an offense well and can defend her position at an above-average level. With quick feet and solid, strong hands, her location of sets is highly consistent and reliable—-and for setters available at this point, that’s a HUGE plus. In the front row, she has enough size to slow down attackers at a small-school level, and knows how to set a block for her middles to meet her. In short, Mya is a plug-and-play setter for either a 5-1 or 6-2 offense, and can do so at the small school level as soon as she arrives on a campus.

Found on Circle’s 18 White squad, Mya is THE setter for this squad, and is looking for a home for the fall of ‘26. With high, strong hands, a defense-first mentality and an ability to find the right hitter in the right tempo at all times, Mya is fully capable of playing at the next level as either a 5-1 director (like she will be this club season) or for a larger school looking for a 6-2 complement on someone’s setting depth chart. Her ability to be all things and NOT “just a setter” sets her apart from other setters lower in the rankings list.

From west of Indianapolis, Mya will be found on Circle’s 18 White program this coming spring. “Deception” is Mya’s middle name, as her hands take the ball in the exact same place on every pass. Her wrist and hand strength are up there with the best among any setter, and the set always seems to find itself in the right tempo and the right place at the right time. Yes, she’s only 5’7″, but can easily run a 5-1 or be part of an athletic 6-2 at the next level. An above-average defender, Mya knows that playing defense first is her calling card, and excels at making her contacts playable. For a kid nearing 2000 career assists and 1000 career digs in high school, it’s hard to believe someone with this skill set is still available, yet here we are.
