Mya Hemmer is from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan or the “UP” as the Upper Midwest calls it. Hemmer is a newcomer to volleyball where she grew up as a high level basketball player. She was able to join FC Elite out of Appleton, WI for the tail end of the club season in 2024 where coaches started to take notice. The 2025 season she was a middle blocker for FC Elite 18 Elite, being a part of a squad that qualified 18 Open. Her lateral quickness combined with her athleticism and physicality makes her quite the offensive and defensive threat. She will take her game from the shores of Lake Michigan to Waco, Texas suiting up for the Baylor Bears.

Mya Hemmer Mya Hemmer 6'2" | MB Ishpeming | 2026 State #181 Nation MI is a 6’2” hitter that has been able to dominate in the Upper Peninsula, and is playing club volleyball in Wisconsin to try and raise her game. She definitely looks like a prospect that should be drawing plenty of attention. She plays with power and speed, especially for her length. Hemmer can also play the right side. Along with explosive power, Hemmer is also a strong blocker.
