Smith’s athleticism and physicality as an attacker is among the best in this Ohio 2028 class. Currently making an impact for Huron’s basketball team, she was huge for their volleyball team this past fall, leading them offensively with an emphatic arm in her ability to score with power and range. Her length and quickness are also a big factor defensively through the pins as she moves efficiently both laterally and in her lift off the floor.

Smith is just an athlete. Her physical tools are elite with quickness, ability to get off the floor, and in how her volleyball mechanics can make a big impact each time she’s on the court. Another prospect with strong volleyball and basketball potential, she has high promise as a middle for the next level. She moves very well between both pins defensively while also having quickness, footwork, and good awareness in the transition phase to track the ball, create good space and swing with scoring purpose. Smith can elevate and control her arm to swing and cut through both directions of the floor, which makes her difficult to defend. She led Huron offensively at 3.1 k/s on a 41% kill rate. Defensively, she provided a career high 2.3 b/m.
