About NATASHA

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my game play style as always agressive, competitive, coachable and strategic. While staying agressive, I am always looking for open spots on the court and analyzing the opposing team before the game and during the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

A brief description of my mentality would be focused, determined and to always give 100% effort no matter the team or situation. A brief description of my personality would be easy going, competitive yet supportive, the drive to win but also keep a good attitude, and to always bring energy.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play on my high school varsity team for indoor and I also play for an indoor club team. Academics:I am very hardworking, taking multiple AP classes, I am part of the accelerated program at my high school, and have received awards for attendance and being part of CJSF. I have participated in the Future Medical Professionals Club and have done volunteering at my local nature center, library & more

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Some skills that I've developed is how important it is so motivate others, collaborate with my teammates and get to know my teammates, and being willing to switch roles whenever needed/ being available and open. Also, some other skills I have learned is how to properly fuel my body, stretch, and what strength and conditioning exercises I have to do in order to become a better volleyball player.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

When I lose to the opposing team, I don't see it as a loss but as motivation and an opportunity to play better and learn from my mistakes for the following match.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for colleges in California as well as nationwide.

Natasha Willaert plays with an aggressive mindset and relentless effort. She identified her mental strength as her biggest asset, noting that she takes full swings whenever possible and immediately resets after mistakes, using them as learning moments. She is working on refining her timing and shot placement while also improving her ability to read hitters and defend more effectively in the back row. This season, Natasha is focused on placing the ball with intention while continuing to grow her blocking on the left side. Her versatility stands out, as she has played nearly every position on the court except libero, and she is fluent in French, a unique layer to an already well-rounded profile.
