About Naya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My playing style is aggressive and powerful, but also very intentional. I read the game well, make fast decisions and use my court IQ to find smart scoring opportunities.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is competitive and focused on the court. Off the court and with my teammates I am fun, silly, supportive and easy to connect with, but I know how to lock in when it is time to compete.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Each summer from age 9-16 I have attended a month long outdoor leadership camp in the San Juan Islands of Washington. We lived in teepees, learned teamwork and developed resilience and independence.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

At my month long summer camp I have attended from age 9-16, we participated in community service projects around the camp. These projects taught me how rewarding it is to contribute to something bigger than myself. Being the oldest girls unit this past Summer we were often working with the younger girls which taught me a lot about leadership.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I climbed mount Baker this Summer and it was a challenge physically, mentally and emotionally. It required endurance, focus, staying calm when I was really uncomfortable and having compassion for those that were struggling. We did not reach the Summit because a few climbing partners were sick; this taught me compassion and being OK with the trip not turning out as planned.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking to become the best version of myself so I am looking for a school with a strong team, great coaching and a positive team culture.

Broadway is an outside hitter that is a proven 6 rotation stud as she contributes significantly on each and every play. Broadwater routinely delivered big, powerful swings from the pins, consistently frazzling the defenses. Her defense and hustle were also solid. She kept rallies alive and took up a lot of court in the backrow with her quickness and fluid movements. Her versatility and well-rounded skill set make a highly impactful player on both offense and defense.
