Ezri showcased impressive hops for a 6’3 middle, using her elevation and a heavy arm swing to create damage on both the block and the attack. She thought quickly in rallies and consistently positioned herself to make the next play. Her ability to find the right scoring angles added valuable pressure at the net.

Ezri is working on improving her vertical further and growing her volleyball IQ as she develops. She is also pursuing her AA degree during high school so she can study pre-med in college while continuing volleyball. Ezri loves animals and shared that she even has an emu at home, a fun detail that highlights her personality off the court.

Her combination of athleticism, intelligence, and scoring touch made her a standout performer.

Karp is an aggressive middle with a big presence. At a 6’3”, her she knows how to use that impressive reach to her advantage. She can put up a solid block as well as get to those pesky ill placed balls that come too close to the net, which bailed out her backrow many times and allowed her to keep plays alive. In addition to being highly effective on the defensive end, Karp has a smooth transition and can run effective routes makes her a threat on both offense and defense. She also showcased excellent awareness of her setter, positioning herself and transitioning correctly so she did not obstruct the offense. Her height, reach, and court awareness allowed her to greatly impact her court and be a huge part of her team’s success.

Ezri Karp demonstrates strong athleticism and precise timing, especially when capitalizing on overpasses. With two years of experience in the middle, she brings a steady presence to the net and reads the game well. Her background in water polo and beach volleyball adds to her versatility and enhances her court awareness. Ezri is currently focused on improving her blocking and hitting technique, while also developing her court vision and volleyball IQ. Her 4.2 GPA reflects a disciplined, well-rounded student-athlete who commits fully to both academics and athletics.

Ezri leads by example, consistently encouraging her teammates and striving to be a supportive presence both on and off the court. She values what it means to be a good teammate and takes that responsibility seriously. Playing college volleyball would be a dream realized, an opportunity to continue doing what she loves at a high level and a powerful reminder that hard work pays off.
