Salpointe has done very well in 4A this year, and a lot of that is attributed to the depth of that team and the level of defense they play this year. Part of that amazing defense and talented team is 2026 Libero/DS Nicole Monge Nicole Monge 5'3" | DS/L Salpointe Catholic | 2026 State AZ .

Nicole has top level defensive instincts and her range on defense is out of this world. She has a elite positioning and is always in the right spot to take hard driven down balls and keep her team in system. Even when she is slightly out of position she is able to still get her arms in a position to pass the ball to the setter.

She plays with a lot of composure as well, doesn’t matter if it is late in the set in a must win point, or the first point of the first set. You can never tell she is nervous and her teammates feed off of the fact that she is unshakeable. She plays with a ton of energy and passion that we love to see out of a libero.

Her combination of technical ability, high court IQ, and energy make her a high level libero for the class of 2026 and an easy pick to be a top libero for this class.
