put together an impressive performance at the showcase and once again demonstrated why she’s regarded as one of the top pin attackers in her class. Her left-handed arm swing is a major weapon, allowing her to create difficult angles and score from both sides of the court. Whether attacking in rhythm or out of system, Rainey consistently found ways to put pressure on opposing defenses and terminate points.
At the net, Rainey continues to impress with her physicality and instincts. She puts up a disciplined, intentional block that takes away attacking options and forces opponents to make adjustments. She’s also aggressive in tight-net situations, showing the confidence and awareness to capitalize on overpasses and contested plays. Those extra points can be the difference in close matches, and Rainey consistently looks ready to take advantage of them.
With her unique lefty attack, strong net play, competitive fire, and ability to positively impact team culture, Rainey remains one of the most exciting players to watch in her class. We can’t wait to continue following her journey and watching her game reach even greater heights.

A pin hitter from Club Cactus, Rainey has really stood out with her game play on the right side this season. Rainey is capable of hitting from all spots on the floor but has shown the most dominate ability on the right side. She is a lefty and does a really good job being able to hit down the line, hard cross, and throw in some off speed shots when needed. She seems to always find the open spot and takes what the defense gives her. She is a top point getter for her team and seems to pop on film each and every match.
She also does well on the defensive end, especially with her blocking and ability to slow down outside hitters on opposing teams. She has a great ability to close on the pin and take away the space a hitter is looking for, along with being over the net and shutting down hard driven balls. Rainey also can play some defense and dig balls as well. Showing a all around ability as an athlete that is really makes her stand out. She moves well and is able to transition from offense to defense and can do a little of everything for her team.
Rainey is someone whose game continues trending upward, showing noticeable improvement in both consistency and overall court presence. The long-term upside is significant, especially as her physical game continues to evolve which makes her a player to watch over the course of the next few seasons.

Rainey was a a fun hitter to watch throughout the event. She was someone who not only stood out in individual drills, but really came to play during 6 on 6.
Overall Rainey is a athletic fast hitter who can hit from all spots on the floor. She was able to demonstrate the ability to hit and terminate from all locations on the floor and during individual drills was able to connect with all setters throughout the drill. One of my favorite parts about watching her play is how technically sound Rainey is as a freshman. Any athlete who has top level technique has so much growth potential and Rainey has some of the best technique in the gym.
As a blocker Rainey is a disciplined blocker and doesn’t fall for any tricks a setter or fast tempo offense might throw at her. Her hand position and timing is elite and she is able to be a force on the block regardless on who is on the other side of the net.
Overall, Rainey projects as a high level player as she goes through her high school seasons. She has a nice combination of size, speed, and technical skill that will set her apart from her peers in the years to come. She is someone to be on the lookout for in the years to come.
