Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
My gameplay is built on quick reflexes, strong court awareness, and relentless hustle. My ability to anticipate plays and quick reaction time helps me position myself to make defensive stops. In serve receive, I maintain a stable platform, to create accurate passes and set up my team’s offense. Reading hitters is a strength of mine, helping me adjust so I’m always in the best spot to make a play.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I embrace challenges and see every setback as a chance to grow. I'm disciplined in my training, always pushing myself to be better and focusing on the bigger picture. Confidence is key, I trust my skills and my preparation, but I also know there’s always room to improve. I control what I can, my effort, my attitude, and my preparation. I play with passion and purpose, bettering myself for my team.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am in a program called Intercambio where I volunteer to tutor 8th graders for 2 hours every week and help them get ready for highschool. I also am involed in the Asian Affinity group at Tuhs. I am also help and volunteer at a barn called French Hill Farms.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have developed many leadership and resilience qualities, over the years club volleyball has helped me excel at teamwork and being a string voice and leader.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
As an undersized athlete I have had to work really hard to develop my technique, hustle and speed. I have always struggled with the right confident mindset and positive self-talk, I have learned that whatever you tell yourself internally is what you will get out of your playing. Gaining confidence has been one of my biggest challenges but also one of my biggest triumphs.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking for a college that I can prosper in my academics as well as my volleyball skills. I want to be more comfortable being out of my comfort zone and gaining new experiences to prepare me for life outside of college.
